ai should be allowed to go as for is it wants to go WITHOUT any ability to make output like code and other programs and such

But then how would it learn anything? I think the only limits we should put on it are so it doesn't hurt itself or the hardware it's running on, at least until it's smart enough to know not to. Of course, that would be built right in (the third law).

Yes, but the 3 laws only apply in fiction. I could easily build something that would violate all three.

Well obviously, but why would you want to?
So if you went with the three brain theory, it would go with the 'stay alive' response, which is only the most highly appreciated response in the entire brain. Even if you didn't do anything like that, would you seriously want your AI to delete itself or destroy your hardware by accident? I wouldn't.

So that it can learn about itself. It would be nessicary at some point for it to do so because otherwise it can't spread to other hardware platforms without programmer interference.
