found out whats wrong, ends up, my new hard drive needs o be set up as slave, well its a seagate barracuda, and those are set to be master automatically>.<
and every setting on the hd that makes it slave didn't work, now im just messing around with making appear while it's set to slave :P

any tips would help

got it to work but it wouldn't set the format to ntfs so i quit it and now its gone again. but before i start it again, how long does it take to change the format to ntfs?

Set it to cable select. Gonna save yourself a hip of issues.
