An Intel at 3.0 GHZ with PF speed of 1 vs. an AMD at 1.5 GHZ with PF of 4. The AMD is faster with less GHZ so less heat. That's one of the atractive points of AMD processors.

I wish Intel's pin patterns were the same as AMD's because then you could switch between processor brands. Compition is a good thing.
