<font face="garamond" color="#218712"><b>I am just beginning to get into Java Programming, but I'm having a bit of trouble. The tutorials I've read say that I need to save my files in a .java format. Whenever I do that, though, it saves it as FileName.java.txt, as in is uses the .java part as the name. Does anyone know how to get it to actually save as a .java? If it helps, I'm using the program Notepad on a Windows 2000 operating system. Thanks. |

When you're saving the file, change the dropdown box at the bottom of the save window from 'text format' or '*.txt' to 'all files'. Also, try putting the name of the save file in quotes. Have fun in Java. |
